Trust Alexapure to supply safe, healthy drinking water for your family. IS YOUR TAP WATER SAFE? Environmental Protection Agency or EPA, there are 4 categories of contaminants present in our drinking water which are of concern.

The Safe Drinking Water Act defines the term "contaminant" as any substance or matter that is not made up of natural water molecules. Not all are harmful to health.

Some are naturally occuring, while others are man made. To determine the various types of contaminants present in drinking water, the EPA has set forth a Contaminant Candidate List (CCL) for the purpose of regulatory identification. The 4 categories of contaminants are. The following is an exerpt from the EPA web page. Contaminant Candidate List (CCL) and Regulatory Determination.

Types of Drinking Water Contaminants. The Safe Drinking Water Act defines the term "contaminant" as meaning any physical, chemical, biological, or radiological substance or matter in water. Therefore, the law defines "contaminant" very broadly as being anything other than water molecules. Drinking water may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants.

Some drinking water contaminants may be harmful if consumed at certain levels in drinking water while others may be harmless. The presence of contaminants does not necessarily indicate that the water poses a health risk. Only a small number of the universe of contaminants as defined above are listed on the Contaminant Candidate List (CCL). The CCL serves as the first level of evaluation for unregulated drinking water contaminants that may need further investigation of potential health effects and the levels at which they are found in drinking water.

The following are general categories of drinking water contaminants and examples of each. Contaminants primarily impact the physical appearance or other physical properties of water. Examples of physical contaminants are sediment or organic material suspended in the water of lakes, rivers and streams from soil erosion.

Contaminants are elements or compounds. These contaminants may be naturally occurring or man-made. Examples of chemical contaminants include nitrogen, bleach, salts, pesticides, metals, toxins produced by bacteria, and human or animal drugs.

Contaminants are organisms in water. They are also referred to as microbes or microbiological contaminants. Examples of biological or microbial contaminants include bacteria, viruses, protozoan, and parasites. Contaminants are chemical elements with an unbalanced number of protons and neutrons resulting in unstable atoms that can emit ionizing radiation. Examples of radiological contaminants include cesium, plutonium and uranium.

Alexapure Pro Stainless Steel Stand. Whether at home, at the cabin or in the RV, space is at a premium. We believe you shouldn't have to sacrifice this space to filter your drinking water. That's why we built the Alexapure Pro Stainless Steel Stand. It gives you a little extra room on your counter-top, work bench, porch railing - wherever you keep your Pro filtration system. This keeps your ability to produce cleaner, safer water near at hand, but out of your way. You can even store cups and glasses underneath the stand to make drinking the filtered water truly on-demand. Because the stand is made with brushed stainless steel, it is resistant to corrosion and cosmetic imperfections. So, it will stay sturdy and look great, just like your Alexapure Pro. Gives you extra counter space. Allows you to store cups and glasses under your Pro. Makes the Pro's easy on/off spigot even easier to use. Made of sturdy brushed stainless steel.

Your Alexapure Pro requires very little maintenance. We recommend that you provide the following care as needed. The outer surfaces of your stainless steel Alexapure Pro chambers are easy to keep clean by dusting with a soft cloth. Prior to your first use, rinse the interiors with cool, clean water. Cleaning the exterior of the filters.

Mineral content in untreated water may cause build up on the hybrid ceramic shell of the Alexapure filter unit. While this in no way affects the filtration process, you can clean the outer surfaces of your filters. Be sure to carefully remove them from the upper chamber first.

Scrub them with a scour pad (no soap) and clean water, rinse thoroughly and replace them in the upper chamber. Alexapure Pro Water Filtration System.

I like the idea that its a gravity system and needs no electricity for the water flow through tap. I'm not wild about the taste of the filtered well water... Maybe due to more minerals in the water... Berkey requires a total of 4 filters, 2 black for most contaminants, & 2 white for fluoride.

Alexapure only requires 1 filter & gets rid of the contaminants & fluoride in one fell swoop. Alexapure is far superior & cheaper. I went for the Alexapure filter due to the recommendation of Dave Hodges of thecommonsenseshow. I bought our Alexapure over 1.5 years ago and has worked flawlessly. This a great, quality product and has done a great job filtering the water. Denver's water can be stinky at times and this gives you awesome tasting water. That other filters do not remove the prescription drugs that enter the water, as the Denver Water board is not set up to filter that. So anybody taking prescriptions could have an adverse reaction to their scripts and what is in the water out of the faucet.

The Alexapure takes care of all of that and more... If you want water to filter quicker... Add up to 3 more filters..... I absolutely love this product.

I live in a city where the water taste and smells like chlorine. I want my water to smell and taste like... I cannot believe how crystal clear the water is after passing through the Alexapure gravity fed filter.

I love drinking my water again! Just refreshing FLOURIDE FREE water!

Great for bug out too. Provides the best tasting and cleanest water you can find. Tastes better than spring water. I would recommend this to everyone--especially to those who are elderly, very young and immunocompromised individuals. 33 Third Street, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
